2011 Cricket World Cup Final India VS Sri Lanka
65
2nd April 2011 will always be a memorable day for India. On this day India beat Sri Lanka to lift the 2011 Cricket World Cup for only the second time in its cricketing history after a gap of 28 years. The India Vs Sri Lanka world cup final was played at the illustrious Wankhede stadium in Mumbai, home of cricket's master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. India previously reached the finals only twice in 1983 against West Indies and in 2003 against Australia. This was its third World Cup final. The match was a classic that had all the ingredients of a thriller: anxiety, fear, excitement, awe, and joy.

A great unforgettable day in Indian Cricket History
Good hubs, but this World Cup lacked some spark. Maybe it was too long and too predictable. The 1983 Indian win was far more auspicious.
